Camper's Checklist
Click to open and print the Camper's Checklist in PDF format.
The list below is what you need to bring to camp with you. These items are very important, so please be sure to have them ALL the first day of camp.
- Riding helmet—we prefer equestrian riding helmets.
Bicycle helmets will sufice if it's not possible to get a riding helment. - Ankle boots—no cowboy boots or hiking boots with tread (they get stuck in stirrups).
Boots are mandatory for safety. - Long pants for riding.
- Sunscreen.
- Sack lunch and snack.
- Plenty to drink/water bottle.
- Change of clothes for hot days (shorts, etc.).
If you need new riding boots or a new helmet, Hold Your Horses and Cowboy Country offer discounts to Freedom Farm campers. Allow plenty of time in case they need to order your items.
See the Summer Camp Information Form for a detailed description of each camp.
